BUSINESS QUESTION
Battery had been located in the same offices for over ten years. The firm was involved with a transition in leadership and wanted to find new headquarters to support its evolving image and management’s vision for the future.
APPLIED BUSINESS APPROACH
Battery came to T3 Advisors looking for expertise on how to turn the desire for a refreshed image into a reality. T3’s Emerging Tech/Venture Capital Sector Group has a long and successful track record working with leading venture firms on a variety of real estate issues. With this experience, T3 recognized the need for a highly organized and efficient process. As with any partnership structure, T3 worked to gather partner buy-in early in the process. Once the goals had been developed and the road map created, T3 successfully spearheaded a search of suburban office buildings, ultimately negotiating an aggressive and creative long term lease for Battery.
Following lease execution, T3 remained involved with the project, leading the selection of both the architect and project manager. T3 continued to quarterback the process to ensure that Battery was in their new space on-time and under-budget. Both of these objectives were achieved, resulting in a finished project that is one the most dramatic offices spaces for a venture firm in the country.
