CONCORD, Mass. (August 8, 2003)—T3 Advisors, LLC (www.t3advisors.com), a strategic real estate advisory and brokerage firm serving technology, life science and venture capital companies, announced today that Team T3 finished second at the annual pro am golf tournament at the FleetBoston Senior PGA golf tournament at Nashawtuc Country Club in Concord.
T3’s team included team captain Roy Hirshland, and technology luminary Lou Volpe of Kodiak Ventures, venture capital veteran Woody Benson of Lazard Technology Partners and Mike Volpe, recent graduate of M.I.T.’s Sloane School of Business. Paired with this foursome was veteran Senior PGA Tour member Walter Hall. The team ended at an amazing 17 under par.
"I was proud of our team’s effort today", said Hirshland. "We started slow but ended strong with a string of birdies. Clearly our rigorous fitness and training program over the past several months helped under such grueling conditions. This can be especially helpful with a 'senior golfer' like Lou."
Teammate Woody Benson went on to add "I have always enjoyed my business relationship with T3. Now I have a huge trophy to show for it."
Lou Volpe was the foursome’s lead golfer although son Mike played well with an impressive eagle on the final hole.
While captain Hirshland was the inspirational leader, his golf game was fair at best. "I am however; very proud of the outfit I pulled together for the tournament. I received several positive comments from the gallery and felt that contributed to the strong chemistry of our team."
About the FleetBoston Classic: The FleetBoston Classic is the oldest tournament on the Senior PGA Tour (now called "Champions Tour"). Such greats as Arnold Palmer, Lee Trevino, and Chi Chi Rodriguez are past winners of the event. The tournament is held each year at the prestigious Nashawtuc Country Club in Concord Massachusetts.
