WALTHAM, Mass. (August 15, 2004)—T3 Advisors, LLC (www.t3advisors.com), a strategic real estate advisory and brokerage firm serving technology and venture capital companies, today announced that their client, Millennial Net (www.millennial.net), has signed a three year lease of 15,400 square feet at 2 Fourth Avenue in Burlington, MA. Beginning July 2004, the wireless sensor-networking company will sublease the space for eighteen months from EM4 Photonics, then lease directly from the Nordblom Company for an additional eighteen months. In addition, Millennial Net will sublet its former headquarters in Kendall Square to coincide with the new HQ lease.
Mark Cote and Roy Hirshland of T3 Advisors represented Millennial Net. John Cissel of Cornerstone Advisory Group represented EM4 Photonics and Douglas Wynyard represented the Nordblum Company, landlord of the space.
Millennial Net manufactures hardware and software to build reliable, low-power wireless sensor networks. Its tiny, micro-power network elements can be installed anywhere or embedded in a sensor or actuator to add wireless connectivity. These products are used in industrial automation, building automation, supply-chain management, automatic meter reading, security, and other low-data-rate applications. The company also provides services to customize its technology for specific OEM requirements. Originally based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Millennial Net traces its roots to MIT, where two of the company's founders achieved advanced degrees and performed ground-breaking research in low-power data-acquisition systems.
“This is an exciting time for Millennial Net as we relocate our headquarters to Burlington, refocus our efforts toward R&D and production, and expand our management team to support financial growth. T3 Advisors’s involvement in our company’s evolution has been invaluable and we look forward to working with them again when we reach our next phase of growth,” said Andy May, president of Millennial Net.
