Stowe Mountain Lodge-resized-600The T3 Team just returned from the annual off-site retreat, this year we ventured north to Stowe, VT and stayed at the Stowe Mountain Lodge.

The choice for this destination was an easy one based on the hotels innovative and progressive approach to sustainability. Sustainability is one of the core principals at T3 as the CleanTech team continues to help and educate clients on energy efficiency and green buildings.

Stowe Mountain Resort is currently pursuing the Audubon International’s Green Leaf Eco-Rating. Incorporating green practices such as energy and resource use efficiency the Resort over the last 10 years has been able to save 8,3330,645 kW per year which is equal to powering 715 homes annually. In addition the Resort collects and reuses storm water run-off for both snowmaking and golf course irrigation. Even the lodge itself was constructed with local granite and recycled steel.

Not missing a single detail the Resort uses fully recycled pens made from paper, bamboo sheets for the beds & robes, low flow showerheads, low flow toilets and recycling programs have been put in place.

The T3 team enjoyed all the amenities the Resort had to offer including the spa, skiing, snowshoeing and fine dining. Making for a well deserved reward for their hard work in 2010.

T3 looks forward to an exciting and successful 2011 and hopefully a return to this wonderful resort!
