T3 has had the extraordinary opportunity to work for clients all over the world. In 2015 alone, we successfully completed real estate projects on almost every continent. What is particularly interesting about this work is the interest that most of the world has in attracting US companies, and how interconnected the world and the global economy is today.
In 2014, I had the honor of being named an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the year. This experience continues as I connect with other former CEO EOY winners from around the world. On May 25th I had the unique opportunity to speak to over one hundred CEOs from the EY EOY program who were visiting Boston from Ireland.
My speech to this distinguished group focused on two themes. First, I discussed how we, as leaders, should embrace and accept risk and change. Change is inevitable and often scary. The most successful and healthy leaders embrace change rather than allowing it paralyze them. The second theme I spoke about was the change in work, the workplace and company cultures. I believe this is deeper than just open office designs and office amenities. There are important shifts in demographics taking place that are impacting every industry. We had a lively debate about this topic.
I was reminded of the special bond between Boston and Ireland. I was also energized by the connection entrepreneurship forms. It transcends geography, race, industry. It is the spirit that makes the potential of the future greater than the past.
