We recently held our annual OneT3 retreat, which is our time to get together as a team and a family. Almost ten years ago I was talking to a CEO friend about the challenges of scaling a company with multiple offices. His response was unequivocal:
Try and get your whole team together, in person, at least once a year. And if you get too big, try and get teams together.
When we started T3 Advisors sixteen years ago, we knew that if we wanted to build a truly disruptive real estate firm, we would need to build a team with interesting talents, intellect, and a common commitment to certain values.
T3’s culture is the common tissue that binds us and keeps us together as a company. But culture isn’t static, and it isn’t perfect.
Our OneT3 retreat isn’t a sales results trip or a celebration of our revenue—I love to quote the former CEO of WD-40 (yup, the grease people), who said, “Profit is the applause of doing good work and having engaged employees.”
The OneT3 annual retreat gives us a chance to enjoy each other, discuss our core values, share stories, introduce new team members, learn, and laugh. I look forward to it every year.
I’m a firm believer that if you want to delight your customers, you need to delight your own people first. We all had a great time together, and I hope T3’s customers will feel this great spirit.

I hope you enjoy this video from the retreat!
