Big News: T3 Advisors Is Now T3 Advisors, A Savills Company

September 2021
T3 Advisors

Three months following our big announcement, it is still thrilling to introduce ourselves as part of the global Savills family. We are proud of our updated identity — and to introduce ourselves each day as T3 Advisors, a Savills Company.

When we started T3 Advisors in the summer of 2001, we were inspired by the world’s innovators. Our mission was audacious and yet simple – to build the world’s leading real estate and workplace firm solely focused on advising companies in the innovation economy. We stayed focused on our mission over the past twenty years and built this incredible company that started at a kitchen table. As our clients grew, so did the complexity of their business and real estate challenges. Three years ago we began the process of considering ways we could scale T3 rapidly to meet the now global needs of many of our clients.

We began a series of meetings in 2019 with executives of various real estate firms, and the conversations with London-based Savills stood out. Savills entered the U.S. market only a few years prior and were looking to continue their North American expansion. We felt this would give us the opportunity to have an influence on their growth and culture.

We closed on the deal earlier this summer. I have been so pleased with Savills support of T3’s business plan, our team and our clients.

Our new parent firm, Savills, is one of the world’s leading real estate advisory platforms with more than 39,000 people in 70 countries with offices in the Americas, Europe, Asia Pacific, Africa and the Middle East.

Mark Ridley, the global CEO of Savills, says, “The acquisition of T3 will further amplify the life science and technology industry advisory services that Savills can provide to clients on a global basis. These are key growth sectors for us and are integral to our continued strategic expansion across North America.”

T3’s managing partners Austin Barrett, David Bergeron, and Mark Cote continue in leadership roles as executive vice presidents. Roy Hirshland, CEO and founder, becomes vice chairman, focusing on integrating T3’s approach into the Savills worldwide platform.

Hirshland says, “I am proud to be part of the leadership team as we continue to expand the innovative, unique real estate and workplace services that we provide to clients.”
